As a digital marketing consultant, I created this blog as a forum to discuss issues important to all who want to use ‘new media’ (silly term really, it’s just ‘media’) to promote and communicate online. I hope I can also bring some morsels of information and advice and share some useful views with you.
I’ve spent most of my life in marketing and marketing communications, and back in the late eighties, just when I thought I had done everything in marcomms, along came the internet. Recognising its potential I cajoled and bullied my employers at the time to let me set up an interactive division and begin the unenviable task of trying to sell something they didn’t understand to clients who had never heard of it.
After getting on for 20 years now (wow, that’s like 70 of your earth years!) my passion for the medium is undiminished as every month presents new opportunities for marketers.
